After 1.5 years ...
After 1.5 years from this? surgery. I have no pain in my shoulder. I am occasionally sore from over use from duck hunting and playing golf. I have more range of motion that I ever expected, Almost 90% range. I am satified the decision to have the surgery was a good one. The joint is stable as a rock. The rehab was the toughest thing I ever had to do. Stay committed and you will succeed. Using pain pills really helped with the Rehab.

I am considering a hemi. Was your hemi using the arthro surface system? Have you had continued dislocation during? the period since you made this post? Any other side affects?

I'm also from Tulsa ...
I'm also from Tulsa, and had arthroscopic surgery on my right rotary cuff 9-28-10 by Dr. Dukes.? I've finished my physical therapy (1-31-11) and I'm continuing home exercises now. I'm told that doing the exercises is most important to keep scar tissue from forming and causing more problems and another surgery. After viewing this one I'll be sure and exercise faithfully!

I had this ...
I had this operation performed by Dr Markman in Tulsa, Ok. I am glad I didn't watch this video before the operation. The pain and therapy post op is not for the faint? hearted. After 10 years of shoulder pain I was open to something. First the Doc attempted an arthroscopic repair which failed to provide any relief. If you decide to go this route be ready to step into the gates of Hell.

I had a hemii which ...
I had a hemii which I do not recomend as? occasionally it dislocates and the pain is fearsome go the full arthoplasty

Omg how does this ...
Omg how does this ever heal!??

This surgery was ...
This surgery was performed on me 12-16-09 by Dr. Norris and his fellow. I am healed, back to work and without pain from the previous joint? arthritis. There is still pain in the surrounding muscle tissue because of the atrophy of muscles due to non use. Range of motion is very good, and anticipate an 85 to 90% recovery. If you are in pain, wait until you can't handle it anymore, then get the surgery done. I would recommend Dr. Norris and staff for this operation.
